Morning Session  (Team work, Creativity and Performance Skills):

·         The Team can’t do a good job without Teamwork!!!!!  Learn how to get it.

·         What makes for a good performance in both the Team Challenge and the Instant Challenge (IC)?

·         What skills are needed and how can you teach these skills without committing Interference?

·         How does a Team achieve an outstanding performance while utilizing its “non-performing” members.

This session will start with how to create teamwork, even within a team that doesn’t get along that well. It will then move to “What is Creativity?” and how to consistently develop creative solutions.  The session will then proceed to show you, step-by-step, how to teach your Team a methodology that will create quality, in-depth performances to better obtain a top “Quality of Performance” score in both the Team Challenge and in IC.

Afternoon Session (Properties of Materials):

·         What does a Team need to know about Materials for both the Team Challenge & Task-based IC?

·         What makes for a top “Creative Uses of Materials” score?

·         How does a team make things stand up, hold weight, cross spaces without entering, etc.?

·         How can you teach these skills to a Team?

The afternoon session starts with basic properties of materials and their functions.  It builds, one step at a time, utilizing various mini-challenges that will show you how to teach a Team to use all types of materials, creatively!  It is a must session for teaching kids how to design props and to do Task-Based Instant Challenges.

Both of these sessions are VERY HANDS-ON.  Come prepared to work, participate, and learn in a team atmosphere!  You will never look at a performance in the same way again!  You will never be afraid to build a tower or a bridge again!  You (and your Team with your help) can become experts at these skills!!

This workshop is for Team managers and school coordinators  only.  NO TEAM MEMBERS PLEASE!

You will receive a binder that enables you to do the same instruction with your teams after the workshop.
